MEMBERSHIP DRIVE AND INDUCTION, 2 AUGUST 2011
The Membership Drive was supported by delegates from Rotary Clubs in the Vaal Triangle and prospective new members.
Natasha Steyn was also inducted as a member of the Club by Mr. Francis Callard, Past District Governor D9400. Francis and Kathan Pillay, (Membership: D9400) were guestspeakers talking about the advantages and responsibilities of a Rotarian.
Sean Greeff, Membership Director at the Rotary Club Riverside treated guests to wines that are available on the Vaal Meander Wine Route

Visiting Rotary Club Scottburgh
The Rotary Club Scottburgh has the support of 37 active members, the local newspaper and the hotel owner where weekly meetings take place.
* Their structure is formal with a prominent display of office bearers.
* The program includes a partially sponsored dinner for R25
* A project feedback session
* Swindle with the Wheel of Fortune
* A speaker
Their main fundraiser is a gholfday generating R10 000 for community projects
The Club has a high visibility in shopping malls and the entrance to the town

Fellow Rotarians,
At the start of my year as the President of Rotary Club Riverside, I thank you for the confidence in me to take the Club forward in 2010.
I am very excited as I see the enthusiasm building up in the various avenues of service including a new focus on community projects, a new website and the organising of the Fast One by Manuel and his team.
We need everyone to participate to make this year a success.
Paul Harris Fellows: RC Riverside
The Paul Harris Award is named after Paul Harris, who organised the first Rotary Club in 1905 in Chicago; this award is an international prestige award. Members from the Rotary Club Riverside who is aknowlegded as Paul Harris Fellows is Gerhard Eggers, Adelia Fernandes, Manuel Fernandes, Dennis Fisher, Eugene Greeff, Sean Greeff, Barbara Holt, Stephen Holt, Katie Miltiades, Tony Miltiades, June Nicolls, Brent Peacock, Mary Scott, Stan Smith, Sarie van den Berg, Joan Vorwerk and Desmond Young.
